Groovy Transit Detailing LLC: Terms of Service

Effective Date: 2025

By requesting or approving a service quote from Groovy Transit Detailing LLC (“the Company”), the Client (“Customer”) agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Service Availability & Scheduling

  • Mobile Operations: Groovy Transit is a mobile service provider. Services are performed on-site at the Client’s designated location (e.g., bus barn, school parking lot, or facility).

  • Weather Policy: To ensure quality and safety, services may be rescheduled due to inclement weather (heavy rain, lightning, or temperatures below 35°F). Groovy Transit will notify the Client as soon as possible to coordinate a new service date.

  • Access: The Client must provide clear access to the vehicles at the scheduled time. If the team is unable to access the fleet within 30 minutes of the scheduled arrival, a "No-Access Fee" may apply.

2. Customer Responsibilities

  • Site Safety: The Client must provide a workspace that is safe for our technicians and away from heavy traffic or active student loading zones.

  • Vehicle Condition Disclosure: The Client must inform Groovy Transit of any pre-existing damage, including cracked glass, loose trim, electrical shorts, or "soft" paint, before work begins.

  • Window & Door Security: It is the Client's responsibility to ensure all windows and emergency exits are fully closed before exterior high-pressure washing begins. Groovy Transit is not responsible for water intrusion caused by faulty seals or open windows.

  • Personal Property: All personal items or student trash of value must be removed from the vehicle prior to an Interior Refresh service.

3. Pricing & Payment

  • Base Rates: Listed "Starting At" rates apply to standard 72-passenger school buses. Rates may be adjusted for smaller transit vans or high-capacity 90-passenger buses.

  • Payment Terms: For private clients, payment is due upon completion of service. For School Districts and Government Entities, Groovy Transit accepts Net-30 payment terms via official Purchase Order (PO).

  • Quote Validity: All written quotes are valid for 30 days.

  • Late Fees: Past due invoices are subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the remaining balance.

4. Limitations of Liability

  • Pre-Existing Damage: Groovy Transit is not liable for damage caused by the failure of aged or poorly maintained parts, such as brittle plastic, oxidized paint, or failing rubber seals.

  • High-Pressure Washing: While we use industry-standard pressure levels, Groovy Transit is not responsible for the peeling of already-damaged paint or the further cracking of pre-existing glass chips.

  • Hazmat/Vandalism: While we provide specialized "Emergency Recovery" (e.g., fire extinguisher cleanup), we do not guarantee 100% restoration of surfaces permanently stained or etched by chemicals or vandalism.

  • Incidental Damage: Groovy Transit’s maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the total cost of the specific service performed on the vehicle in question.
